Jack Goldhammer is a junior aerospace engineering student at Texas A&M University and a member of the Avionics and Controls subteam on the Vertical Flight Design Team. He contributes to the development of autonomous flight software for the team’s eVTOL aircraft, which competes in the Vertical Flight Society Design Competition.
In addition to VFD, Jack is involved in undergraduate research focused on advanced guidance methods and the development of a high-fidelity lunar lander simulation. He is also developing a thrust-vector-controlled (TVC) model rocket, focusing on the design of the guidance, navigation, and control algorithms and onboard flight software.
